Ultimate Safaris Limited is "A" class licensed & registered tour operator based in Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa. The company is owned and managed by Mr. & Mrs. O. S. Osman. both Tanzanians.

The company was found in 1997, though we are young on paper, we've been conducting safaris in Tanzania for a very long time. Our Company is comprised of experienced and dedicated professionals specializes on delivering tailored and package safaris in Tanzania to discerning clients from around the world.

We run small, very neat, successful and competent safari business, We own modern fleets of 4 X 4 wheel drives, Land Cruisers both station wagon and extended body, fully equipped with HF Radio communication system for every vehicle and our base in Arusha, open roof facilities (pop up roof) to enable our clients enjoy photographic and game viewing expeditions.

Our offices are equipped with facilities such as internet, faxes, phones, Pentium processed computers and radio communication system.

Our drivers are not only drivers but they are qualified and experienced driver/guides. They are non smoking and trained to reveal the beauty of Tanzania's wildlife culture and people.

Zanzibar

Zanzibar is located about 35 kilometers off the East Coast of Tanzania. It comprises the 1,464 square kilometers, of Unguja (also known as Zanzibar) and the island of Pemba (868 - square kilometers), which is located about 50 kilometers north of Unguja and famed for its deep-sea fishing.

Pemba

Pemba, Arabs knew Pemba Island as the "Green Island", named after the lush vegetation of the coast. From a far, the Island resembles a floating forest. Archeological sites of great interest have been unearthed dating from the ninth to the 15th Century.

Mountain Climbing

Kilimanjaro is a giant stratovolcano reaching an elevation of 19,335.6 ft. (5,895 m). Other names for this volcano are: Kilima Dscharo Oldoinyo Oibor (white mountain in Masai), and Kilima Njaro meaning shining mountain in Swahili. This volcano's highest and youngest cone is named Kibo.

Shira to the west and Mawenzi in the east are older cones that make up Kilimanjaro. Kibo has not been active in recent times, but steam and sulfur are still emitted. At the top of Kibo's summit is a 1 1/2 mile (2 1/4 Km) wide crater.
